Overview
Cape Vasilikos, which dominates the southern side of Alonnisos, has always been a safe anchorage for navigation and especially popular within the imperial Byzantine fleets, from where derives its nickname. The cape with the intense relief on the south side of the bay forms an impressive wall underwater and in combination with the rich life that it hosts in its rock formations, they compose the suitable diving field for exploration.
